At Stitch Fix we seek to inspire people to be their best selves. In service to this mission we believe it’s important to make a positive, long-lasting impact on society through our work and our people.
Social justice and equality
This work spans many just causes, but in response to systemic racism, violence, and white supremacy, specifically, we’ve chosen to focus on four distinct initiatives where we believe we can use our resources, influence and data to create real and meaningful change.
- We will share our company data on pay equity and representation annually.
- We will develop a grant & mentorship programme—Elevate—to enable and support the creation of more Black-owned fashion companies.
- We will increase ethnic minority representation in our marketing, including specific goals and programmes aimed at amplifying the voices of creators from ethnic minorities.
- We will donate at least $500K over the next 5 years to organisations advancing social justice.

What does Stitch Fix do to ensure the success of marginalised communities within Stitch Fix?
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Stitch Fix matter deeply. We cannot live our company values fully if we do not actively seek out and welcome talented people from all backgrounds, and inspire and support them to be their best selves. As a company built on the power of personalisation, we must push ourselves to celebrate and learn from differences, and recognise and nurture the unique, individual potential in every one of our employees.
We are committed to providing equal opportunity in all aspects of employment and will not tolerate any discrimination or harassment based on race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other protected class. The actions we’ve taken as a company thus far have led us to have an incredibly diverse management team over the years, a board that has been recognized as one of the most diverse of any public company, strong gender representation on our technical teams, and more.
But, we recognise this is not enough. We have many more investments to make in diversity and inclusion. We have significant opportunities to have more under-represented talent in many parts of our organisation. And we have the power to use our resources, influence, and data to help enable more systemic change and take steps toward a more equal world. And we are holding ourselves accountable to making strides in all these areas.
